Here are our April 2020 numbers for Yorkton. Despite our first full month of lock down on many businesses, schools, and public events, we still had a good month.
We have been hearing this word a lot lately. If you are having financial difficulty due to what has been going on in our world, your lender may grant you a mortgage deferral. Your lender will grant you a certain amount of time where you will not have to pay your regular scheduled mortgage payments. Please remember that you will still see the interest calculated on your mortgage. For example, we will use a mortage with $285,000 left to pay on it. Your mortgage payment is around $1600 per month. Let's say you pay $700 per month in interest on your mortgage. Therefore if you decide to take a break from your mortgage for 3 months you will still see $2100 added to the amout left on your mortgage. In three months you will now have $287,100 left to pay on your mortgage instead of $282,300 if you would have continued to pay your mortgage. Thats a difference of $4800. It's important to speak with your lender and get all the numbers As always, call me and I can point you in the right direction.
